What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember things between visits. We also use browser local storage, which works similarly but never leaves your device. Together this page calls them "cookies".
The cookies UnStrike uses
Essential (always active)
- Consent choice: remembers the decision you made in the cookie banner so we don't ask you again on every visit. Stored in your browser's local storage.
- Scan history: your recent scan results (file name, score, date) shown on the main page. Stored only in your own browser; we cannot see it.
These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They contain no advertising identifiers.
Advertising (only with your consent)
If you allow advertising, Google AdSense sets cookies to serve and measure ads on the Service. If you additionally allow ad personalization, Google may use cookies to tailor those ads to your interests based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. If you allow advertising but decline personalization, ads are requested in non-personalized mode.

How consent works here
No advertising cookies are set until you make a choice in the consent banner. Technically, the site uses Google Consent Mode v2: all advertising signals default to "denied" when the page loads, and only update after your decision. The Google advertising script is not even loaded until advertising is permitted.
- Accept all: advertising and personalization both allowed.
- Reject non-essential: only essential storage; no advertising script loads.
- Manage preferences: set advertising and personalization independently.
Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time: click "Cookie preference" in the footer of the main page to reopen the preferences panel. Your new choice takes effect immediately for future page activity. You can also delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings, which will make the banner appear again on your next visit.
Other opt-out tools
Industry programs offer additional opt-outs from interest-based advertising across many companies: youradchoices.com (Digital Advertising Alliance) and networkadvertising.org/choices (Network Advertising Initiative). Note that opting out of personalization does not necessarily mean you will see fewer ads, only less tailored ones.

If we add or change cookies, we will update this page and the effective date above, and where the change requires it, ask for your consent again.
